About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam Veteran Richard F. Richter has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Richter passed 31 August 2025 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Richter entered the Army on 18 March 1964 and trained as a Aircraft Armament Repairman (MOS-45J20). He served his nation for 24 months on active duty, including a 7 month tour of duty in Vietnam with the 79th Transportation Company, based in Qui Nhon, Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at Army Personnel Center, Oakland California on 15 March 1966, and for his service was awarded; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device and Expert Rifleman Badge (M-14).

Members will stand a flag line for arriving family for a brief prayer service at the funeral home. After a dignified transfer, PGR will escort Mr. Richter and family to St Francis of Assisi Church for Mass of Christian Burial. Dress for the weather and bring water.
