About the Mission:

The family of Steven Edwin Henderson has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Steven, 61, passed on Friday, August 29th, 2025.

Born in Albany, NY on November 17th, 1963, Steven was raised in Schenectady and was a Linton High School graduate. After high school, he entered active duty in the United States Army on 8 September 1981, where he was trained as a Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 76Y10). He was assigned to CDEC – Combat Developments Experimentation Command, a U.S. Army command responsible for testing and evaluating new weapons systems, tactics, and technologies, at Fort Hunter Liggett, in California. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class on 22 March 1983, and for his service, was awarded an Army Service Ribbon, Marksman Badges - Rifle (M-16A1) and Hand Grenade.

After his military service, Steven worked in different industries, but primarily, his focus was on transportation where he became a commercial truck driver.

Special Information:

Staging at the church for the dignified transfer and flag line during the Visitation hour from 09:00 - 10:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12:30 pm interment service.
