About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been invited to attend the military honors funeral services of SMSgt Jean Kerry Moses. Kerry, 54, of Ballston Spa, passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 8th, 1971, in St Louis Missouri, Kerry grew up in Holbrook, Long Island. At the age of 18, she enlisted into the United States Navy, and was stationed in Adak, Alaska. She later moved to Upstate New York where she enlisted in the Air National Guard, serving with the 109th Airlift Wing. She served many roles during her 20+ years of service. Apart from being a loadmaster, deploying to Antarctica, Greenland and countless other locations, Kerry had also served as a member of the Honor Guard, Task Force at DMNA, provided support after the attacks on 9/11 and many other additional duties.

She retired in 2023 as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8), and earned numerous medals, ribbons and citations, including the following; Aerial Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Air and Space Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal, Air and Space Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Air and Space Outstanding Unit Award with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Combat Readiness Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with one Service Star, Antarctica Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Air and Space Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with four Service Stars, Air and Space Longevity Service Award with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with three Hourglass Devices and one “M” Device, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (Pistol), Air and Space Training Ribbon, Louisiana Emergency Service Medal, New York Long and Faithful Service Award with five devices, New York Defense of Liberty Medal, New York Aid to Civil Authority Medal and New York Human Service to New York State Medal with two Devices.
