About the Mission:

The family of Walter Johnston, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation at their father's final military honors funeral services. Mr. Johnston served in the US Army as a Fire Signal Operator and was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 3rd Class.  For his service, he was awarded; Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal, and transferred from active duty to the Army reserves.

After discharge, Walter went to work for Grumman Corporation as an Engineering Specialist. He worked on the Lunar Module and EC2 aircraft.

Special Information:

Please assemble at the main gate and await the arrival of the family from Clayton Funeral Home. Cremains are being transported and the family has been advised to notify PGR members of their arrival at the main gate (in case a hearse is not involved).
