About the Mission:

The family of US Air Force Vietnam Veteran Gerard " Jerry" Jenkins has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Jenkins passed on 4 September 2025, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Jenkins entered the Air Force on 15 April 1966, and trained as a Personnel Specialist (AFSC 73250A). He served his nation for 42 months on active duty, including an 11 month tour of duty in Vietnam. On 18 December 1969, then Staff Sergeant (E-5) Gerard "Jerry" Jenkins was honorably discharged at McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Washington. For his service to his nation he was awarded; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 Bronze Service Star, Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device and Small Arms Expert Ribbon.

Members will greet family at Hoy Funeral Home for escort of Mr. Jenkins and his loving family to Our Lady Of Victory, Lackawanna, NY, for Mass of Christian Burial. Make sure your large flags are clean and bring water. Weather looks good for the escort.
